Join us for the Inaugural Black & Blue Gala! This fantastic formal evening is a fundraising event to support the Inv. Holmes N. Smith, Jr. Foundation, Inc. and its outreach programs, specifically scholarships for High Schools Seniors.
The Inv. Holmes N. Smith Jr. Foundation was established in to continue to honor legacy of Inv. Smith, a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer who proudly answered his call to protect and serve his community. He worked in law enforcement for nearly 20 years, serving as a Police Officer for the City of Manning, a Game Warden for Sumter County Department of Natural Services, and a Sheriff’s Deputy for the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, November 5, 2014, Inv. Smith was killed in a one car collision while on duty, returning from a meeting with SLED Agents in Sumter County.
